I remember Rudy from our time together at Wilfrid Laurier University. We were both mature students-Rudy even more so ;)-and we had many great conversations before class. He was a wise soul and a great listener. I was sad to hear of his passing.

When I moved to Cambridge 12 years ago, a friend recommended Rudy & Trudy to get my hair cut.  Rudy became my stylist and was kind enough to give us some garden tools as we were reestablishing a home. My condolences to all his friends and family.  He was a wonderful man.

Rudy was one of my mom's best friends and hair dresser.  She always talked about her long discussions with Rudy while he did her hair.  As her life became busier in the 1970's she would leave her wig with Rudy so she could go and get her errands done.  As a child I thought this was very funny but an excellent use of her time.  I will always remember Rudy and Trudy's hair salon as a place where people were welcomed and enjoyed.  I am sure my mom and Rudy are having a big laugh now in heaven. Our hearts skipped a beat when we heard of Rudy's passing. He and Dee were such a support to me during my own health crisis and a real encouragement to keep on going! Dee, our hearts are heavy for you and the family and so many of your friends and family. Rudy and Dee were very faithful supporters of Community Connection Choir and provided enthusiasm for the many projects and cantatas we performed.  Faithful attendance and unswerving support for our rehearsals and concert presentations. It seems like only a few months since we last spoke and we thought that all was well. Of course Rudy's first question to me was How are you doing? Will never forget your love and affection and encouragement. May the angels and our Heavenly Father have a place of perfect peace and rest for this dear saint of God. Dee, we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers as you continue on your earthly journey without your soul mate. He will never be far from you, just a prayer away. Rudy was the kindest, caring man, who was devoted to his family and his faith.  We are privileged to have called him our friend. My deepest condolences to Dee, his boys and family.  Rudy was my first mentor in the hair industry back in 1989.  He taught me so much.  He was the most giving man I have ever met.  Thank you for teaching me the things I know not just with hair but life in general. You will be deeply missed by many but You will never be forgotten!

You my dear Rudy where also one of the first men in my life whom I looked up to as a great role model who was hard working, caring, always honest to his clients and making them feel like they where number one.......you taught me to start early and work long and hard.......you taught me the God was important and family right after........you checked up on my by 5:30 am when ever you knew I was at  the shop alone,,,,,,,I will miss that compassion.... that kindness.......I will miss you.......Kisses to Dee Harold and Steve.......be so proud he was a great man!!!!!

We became friends of Rudy's at St.Clement's church, where we sat and chatted every Sunday morning.  We were saddened to read of Rudy's sudden passing.
He was a gracious and gentle man.  Please accept our heartfelt condolences on the loss of a husband, dad, step-dad and Opa.
