Stella was a prairie girl, born in the small town of Candiac, Saskatchewan to Frank & Josephine Psiurski. She spent her childhood on the family farm near Glenavon, Saskatchewan. As a young woman she came to Ontario where she met & married the love of her life, Stanley Joseph Piaseczny (deceased July 12, 2014). Together they shared 67 years in Galt, Ontario (now Cambridge) raising their family of 4 children Linda Eccles (Bruce), Shirley Newton (Joe), Stanley R. Piaseczny (Vicki), Michael Piaseczny (Jacqueline) and welcoming their growing family: grandchildren Jennifer Clements (Kevin), Michael Eccles (Catia), Robert Piaseczny (Jessica), Nicholas Piaseczny (Hanna), Matthew Piaseczny (Julie), Michael Joseph Piaseczny, Alicia Piaseczny and great grandchildren Hunter & Tyler Clements, Alex & Charlotte Eccles and Madison & Easton Piaseczny.
Stella was devoted to her family and her faith. She will be remembered for her quiet, gentle and giving nature, her banana muffins, and her need to save everything because it was precious, or pretty to her.
Stella was also predeceased by her siblings Stanley, Allen, Ted and infant brother Peter. Her sisters Mary, Polly, Angela & Fran and her brother John mourn her passing.
We want to thank all of the medical staff at Cambridge Memorial Hospital and Granite Landing. We are so grateful for the loving care that our mom received at Innisfree Hospice in Kitchener, Ontario to ease her journey to be reunited with the love of her life. In lieu of flowers we ask that memorial donations be made to Innisfree Hospice, Cambridge Memorial Hospital or a charity of your choice.
