Born on November 11, 1945 in Lima, Ohio, to the late Rodney Lee and Ruth Marciele Ross.
Surviving Byron is his partner, Patti Matlock; sons, Michael E. Ross and his wife JoAnn, and Mark E. Ross and his wife Nickol; grandchildren, Michael Ross (Mariah), Dayne Ross (Mariah) and Brittney McCarthy (Justin); great grandchildren, Harper, Roman, Thea and Evie; and his sisters Lee Anna Ross Kersey and Harriett Ross Williams.
Bryon received his Bachelors from Ohio State University and then went on to get his Masters at American University. He worked for USDA Federal where he was appointed State Director for Rural Development. He enjoyed watching college football and basketball games, and said that his son’s athletic accomplishments were one of his proudest moments. He was also a member of the West Shore Elks.
A visitation will take place on Tuesday September 30, 2025 at Neill Funeral Home; 3401 Market Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011 from 10:00-11:00am. A celebration of life will begin at 11:00am. Reception to take place at the West Shore Elk #2257; 108 St Johns Church Rd, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
