Elizabeth J. Herr

Born on December 10, 1928 in Selinsgrove, PA to the late Helena (Mattis) and Bruce S. Gemberling.

She is preceded in passing by her husband, Robert M. Herr Sr; sons, Richard D. Herr and Robert M. Herr Jr.; grandchildren, David R. Bailor and Chad F. Cope; and her brother, Bruce Gemberling.

Surviving Elizabeth are her daughters, Sharon Hane (Tim) and Patricia Kichman; grandchildren, Christine McCord, Andrew Bailor (Hilary) and Erin Walters (Erik); and great grandchildren, Sophia, Emily, Layla and Carly.

Elizabeth was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards, especially pinochle and watching Walker Texas Ranger. In her younger years, her and Robert enjoyed traveling together. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was also a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Shiremanstown.

A visitation will take place from 10:00-11:00am on Thursday November 20, 2025 at St. Johns Lutheran Church; 44 W Main St, Shiremanstown, PA 17011. Funeral services will begin at 11:00am with a reception to follow in the church hall. Burial will take place at 2:00pm at Mitchell Cemetery in Millerstown, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Central Pennsylvania.
