

He was born November 14, 1917 in Marysville, son of the late Grover Cleveland and Mabel (Dunlap) Snyder. He graduated from Marysville High School.
He was a retired locomotive engineer for 42 years on the Pennsylvania Railroad, Penn Central Railroad and Amtrak. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers Harrisburg Division # 74. He also worked 22 years as a clerk for Unimart convenience store and finally completely retired from work at the age of 91 from the Sportsman Golf Club driving range.
Harry loved the railroad and enjoyed golfing and yard work in his younger years. He was a generous man, a dedicated Christian and a wonderful provider for his family. He enjoyed music especially Christian and country music.
Harry was preceded in death by his wife Louise Snyder of 59 years, three brothers, Van, Russell and Kenneth Snyder.
He is survived by five children, two sons; Donald R. Snyder and wife Gail, of New Cumberland, PA, Brian M. Snyder and wife Marilyn Lopez, of Fort Worth, TX and three daughters; Roxanne L Harmon and husband Michael, of Dunedin, FL, Janet L Neway, of Harrisburg, PA, and Kathleen L Hershey, of Harrisburg, PA. He had 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 8 great- great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Ruth Snyder Geib, of Ephrata, PA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 Monday, October 20, 2014 from Neill Funeral Home, Inc. 3401 Market St. Camp Hill, with viewing from 10:00 to 11:00 prior to service, Interment will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Camp Hill.
