
John (Jack) Reese Beyrent, Jr., of Camp Hill, passed away on November 16, 2015. A Steelton native, he graduated from Steelton High School, attended Mercersburg Academy, Gettysburg College, and graduated from Temple University School of Dentistry. He was a member of Lamda Chi Alpha Fraternity and Psi Omega Dental Fraternity.
Jack was a captain in the US Army, where he was stationed in Baumholder Germany. After returning to the US, Dr. Beyrent practiced dentistry for over 40 years in Steelton. He was a member of the Steelton-Swatara Lodge. He and his wife Janice settled in Camp Hill, where they have lived for over 50 years. He retired in 1999 and spent his retirement doing what he loved, woodworking.
The son of the late J. Reese Beyrent and Grace E. Beyrent, he is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janice Lamb Beyrent, son, Jeffrey Reese Beyrent of Camp Hill, daughter, Karen Beyrent Brassel and son- in- law, John Brassel of Dillsburg. Also surviving are his sister, Barbara Beyrent Bassett of Fremont NH and four grandchildren, Cameron Reese Beyrent and Taylor Reese Beyrent of Nashville, TN, Jillian Nicole Brassel of Johnson City, TN and Janelle Lynn Brassel of State College, PA.
Visitation will be held on November 28th from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Neill Funeral Home, 3401 Market Street Camp Hill.
