He was born June 1, 1931, in Bridgton, Maine to the late Clyde and Dolly Brown.
On June 13, 1957, he married Mary J. McLeman who preceded him in death on February 27, 2020.
Richard was a graduate of Tufts University in 1953 and Tufts University School of Medicine in 1957 and was a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He was practicing Neurologist at Polyclinic Medical Center in Harrisburg for over 30 years. He also served in the Army and Army Reserves for over 35 years, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel.
He enjoyed organ music, photography and the Philadelphia Phillies.
He is survived by his son Daniel and his wife Kelly and their 18-year old daughter Devon in Nashville, TN. His other son, Mark passed away on April 28, 2025. Mark is survived by his wife Danielle Gellella Brown and their 10-year old twins, Clyde and Gia in Pound Ridge, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Pine Street Presbyterian Church
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
