Allen was the kind of brother that anyone would be grateful to have – caring, supportive, and always there when it mattered most. His life was filled with love.
Allen was blessed with two children and four grandchildren, they brought him immense joy, and he was tremendously proud of them.
He was the only boy amongst four girls, and life with the sisters was never dull. The laughter, the love, an even the occasional squabbles forged a bond amongst us that would last a lifetime and beyond.
In his retirement years, Allen thoroughly enjoyed life in Campbell River. The abundance of pick-up trucks made him feel at home and fully a part of the community’s free-spirited vibe. Most people would recognize Allen as that affable Home Depot guy with the warm smile, quick wit, and lighthearted anecdotes about home improvements.
Allen also had a passion for classic hot rod cars and he could be seen cruising down the streets in his shiny black 1970 Monte Carlo. The growl of the engine, siting next to him his beloved four- legged buddy Charlie, they would head for their favourite Tim Hortons. He would place his regular order, Charlie would get his special treat, then off to the water front where Charlie’s antics would have Allen doubled over with laughter, and off home with another hilarious wiener dog story to be shared.
Allen and Charlie encourage you to step outside with your best buddy. Breathe in the fresh air, share stories, and appreciate the little things that make life truly meaningful.
We hold you close bro, and find comfort in the love we shared. You may no longer walk with us, but you will never truly leave us - you remain in our hearts always. We love you.
