Donna Ann Hnatiw

Donna Ann Hnatiw, Sept. 26/1955 Sept. 5/2010 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Donna Ann Hnatiw. Our mom was born in Port Arthur, Ontario where she attended Corpus Christi Elementary School and Hammerskjold Highschool. Mom pursued a career in nursing and worked in her earlier years at the Shaunghessy Hospital in Vancouver and then at the Campbell River Hospital until her death. We think that one of the happiest times was when she took a break from nursing to fulfill her pioneering instinct of becoming a salmon fishing guide in the Stuart Island area. Mom was in her element, outside, fighting rapids, but still bringing in those fish. Mom is predeceased by her mom Sophie, uncle Edward Zysko and Aunt Lois Hnatiw. Mom will be dearly missed by her cousin/sister Rosanne Zysko, our godparents Gerry and Henry, Lana, Suzanne and many other friends and relatives. As requested by our mom, she wanted to be cremated and have a celebration of her life. This will be held at the Suttons Campbell River Funeral home at 1pm on Saturday September 11th/2010, 502 South Dogwood Street.
