

We sadly announce the passing of Geoffrey Davey of Campbell River BC. Geoff was 93 years old. He was a cherished resident of Yucalta Lodge, where he was so very well cared for. We sincerely thank the devoted and kind employees of Yucalta Lodge.
Geoff is survived by his daughter Anne Davey (Catherine Twomey) of Campbell River BC, his son Jim from Ontario, his granddaughter Savannah Fisk, his brother Ken Davey (Eileen)from England and his sister Margaret Caunce, also from England.
Geoff is predeceased by his loving wife Kate, his brother Ted, his sister Sandra and by his parents.
Geoff was born and raised in the small Village of Scarisbrick, England. It was there that he met Kate, the love of his life and future wife.
He and Kate were married in 1956. Anne and Jim were both born in England.
In 1967, Kate and Geoff and children emigrated to Canada.
Geoff was a very hard working and loving provider for his little family. He was a man of many talents and skills. His diversified career went from being a cook in The Royal Navy, to a welder for a Car Carrier, to a school Bus driver, and lastly to a very successful businessman as owner and manager of a Mobile Home Park in Clearwater BC.
He and Kate sold their business in 2009 and retired to Campbell River to be closer to their daughter Anne.
Geoff will be missed by Anne, Jim, his surviving family, many dear friends and the residents and staff of Yucalta Lodge who loved his humour and charm.
Be at peace Geoff as you reunite with your dear Kate.
