His siblings would like to warmly thank Dr. Elzein and nurses at the hospital, for the wonderful care he received.
Grant was born in Edmonton, Alberta on April 29, 1955. The youngest of four children. Our Dad was in the Air Force, and we moved every four years. The year we were stationed in Germany, we traveled to many places in Europe. The four of us were known as 'Air Force' brats and became best friends. Upon our dad's retirement we settled in West Vancouver, where Grant completed high school. He then moved to Vancouver Island and lived in Black Creek and Campbell River for thirty plus years.
Grant worked in the construction industry and always enjoyed taking his dog for a walk after work. He loved riding his bike, hiking, kayaking and skating. Grant was a most competent skater and enjoyed playing 'many' a hockey game. In his later years, he would often referee a hockey game at the ice arena in Campbell River.
Grant will be sorely missed by his friends & family.
He is predeceased by his loving parents, Edward and Ella (Billie) Stann. He is survived by his sisters: Lynda Leduc, Marilyn (Jan) Darwin, brother Craig Stann and son Graeme, as well as four nieces and three nephews.
Grant's life celebration will be on Sunday, May 24th, from 1:00 - 4:00 pm at a place he loved.... Lighthouse Park.
