At the age of 19, he left his home town and settled in the northern Vancouver Island town of Port Alice BC, where he met the love of his life Lorraine. They were happily married for 53 years. Peter worked at Western Pulp until he retired and relocated to Campbell River BC. Peter enjoyed spending his time on the water boating, fishing and retreating to his cabin on the West Coast. In the Summer, you could find him manucuring his beautiful lawn and garden, grilling a delicious meal for his family, watering his bonsai trees and sitting by a fire into the evening. Peter loved spending time outside in the yard with his cat Jasper and dog Gucci. He was known for his compassion and patience and he loved to teach others the art of bonsai. He will be greatly missed by his wife Lorraine, daughters Nicola and Leanne (Claude), sister Cheryl (Terry), five grandchildren, as well as those bonsai mates who knew him and his craft.
