Colleen Doucette (age 56), passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 6th at Campbellton Hospital. She was loved deeply by her partner Michel (Mike) Aubé, who stayed loyally by her side during her final days. Born September 19, 1967, was raised by loving parents Alice Keeley and Edgar Doucette (now deceased); she would become a big sister 2 years later to Bonnie (Doucette) Richard. Before and after moving from Campbellton to Ottawa at age 21, Colleen made many connections with friends as a lover of music, nature, and family-centered living. There, she became a mother to her daughter Alyshia Graham, a sister-in-law to Albert (Bert) Richard, and aunt to Tyler Richard. Upon her return to Campbellton in 2011, she would connect with her paternal family, including her biological parents, father Gilles St-Pierre (now deceased), and mother Micheline Pelletier Theriault. She was blessed to discover her many siblings, including Danielle Parent (Pierre Gagnon), Annie Theriault (Danny Savoie), Marco Theriault, Karen Motley-Honey (Brock Honey), Pauline Cayouette St-Pierre (Guy Parent), Joane Cayouette St-Pierre, Carolle Cayouette St-Pierre (Steeve Levesque), and Luc Cayouette St-Pierre (Renée Castonguay). She is survived by her many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and the many kin who she always knew she would connect with again; as Colleen would say, she had many full circles. Colleen was an authentic and genuine person who lived life with bravery, ambition, and a deep appreciation for simple pleasures. She was a forward and open-minded thinker, who was determined learn new things about herself and the world, share her experiences with others, and love unconditionally. All those whose lives were blessed by Colleen’s kinship are invited to visit the Savoie Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 9th from 7pm to 9pm to grieve, reminisce and celebrate Colleen’s life. The funeral is to take place at the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges church in Campbellton on Wednesday, January 10th at 2pm. Attendees are asked to meet directly at the church. A donation to the Tree of Hope Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
