

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at the age of 70, after a courageous battle with cancer, Daniel “Danny” Farrar of Glen Levit, husband of Janice (Marshall) Farrar.
Danny was born in on January 26th,1954 in Campbellton, NB to the late Elizabeth “Ella” (Roherty) Farrar and the late Lloyd Farrar.
Danny was a proud Tide Head native, but after marrying Janice, he moved to Glen Levit, where he quickly embraced his role as a dedicated community volunteer. He proudly served as a game warden with the Department of Natural Resources until his retirement in 2021, often representing Smokey the Bear at community events. Danny gave his time freely, maintaining the rink at the local community center and playing Santa Claus each holiday season. He also taught catechism at St. Anthony’s Church and volunteered with Meals on Wheels. An avid outdoorsman, Danny cherished his time at his camp and shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Casey. Above all, he was devoted to his family and wide circle of friends, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and community spirit.
Besides his wife Janice, he is survived by his siblings Colin (Vivian), Brenda Malone (Paul), Holly McKinnon (Brian), Patti Slipp (Fred), David (Meredith Palmer), Shelley Comeau (Maurice) Chris (Shelly) and Vicki Farrar-Cranton (John) …. He is also survived by his sisters’ in law Karen Acott and Darlene Marshall and by many nieces and nephews, whom he adored and his beloved dog Casey. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Penny, his father and mother-in-law Lee and Ruth Marshall.
A Funeral Mass for Danny will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Campbellton on Thursday, September 19 at 11:00 am
The family will welcome family and friends at Savoie Funeral Home, situated at 47 Alexander St, Campbellton on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Danny’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
