Saturday, January 19th, 2019 at the CHSLD in Matapedia at the age of 94 years and 3 months, passed away Mr. Gerard Leblanc, formerly of St-André-de-Restigouche, son of the late Melanie (born Bernard) and the late Alexis Leblanc.
He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, members of the families Leblanc, Parent & Lapointe.
He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers: Donat, Jean-Marie & Adrien (Augustine Parent), his sisters: Marie, Adrienne (Athanase Lapointe) & Lucienne (Gerard Parent).
He has lived very happily for the last 2 years at the Villa des Caps Noirs. He said it was his family. But being unable to practice his favorite sports, snowmobiles and ATVs, he found life less interesting. He had divested himself of his violin and his guitar ... his fingers having lost their dexterity ... His quality of life was also diminished because of his vision and his hearing problems. Too much to mourns, he could not wait for it to end.
Respecting Mr. Gerard Leblanc’s wishes, family and friends will be able to gather at the St-André-de-Restigouche Cemetery this summer for a celebration of his life at time of burial.
