Hermel Thériault

Né à St-Jean-de-Brébeuf, QC, le 15 février 1948, il était le fils de feu Napoléon Thériault et de feu Edith Savoie.

Hermel a fait sa première carrière de briqueleur et ensuite, pour finir au Moulin en tant que gardien de sécurité où il s’est retiré après 45 ans de service. Il aimait la pêche, sa musique de bluegrass et western.

Il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants, Sophie Thériault, Anicia Thériault (Wesley), ses petits-enfants Michaël, Zackari (Océane), Kloe, Kyle et Andréa Savoie, ses frères; Ralph Thériault (Sandra), Gérald Thériault et ses sœurs; Patricia Thibeault, Dale Thériault et Carole Thériault ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.

Outre ses parents, il était prédécédé par son fils Raphaël Thériault et ses frères et sœurs; Carl Thériault, Clarence Thériault, Edmond Thériault, Rodrigue Leblanc et Marlene Thériault.

Les funérailles auront lieu en l'Église Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Cœur, Val d'Amour, le jeudi 18 décembre 2025 à 15h00.

À la demande de M. Thériault, il n’y aura pas de visite au salon funéraire.

Passed away at Campbellton Regional Hospital on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at the age of 77. Mr. Hermel Thériault of Atholville.

Born in St-Jean-de-Brébeuf, QC, on February 15, 1948, he was the son of the late Napoléon Thériault and the late Edith Savoie.

Hermel began his career as a bricklayer and later worked at the mill as a security guard, where he retired after 45 years of service. He loved fishing and bluegrass and western music.

He is survived by his children, Sophie Thériault, Anicia Thériault (Wesley), his grandchildren; Michaël, Zackari (Océane), Kloe, Kyle, and Andréa Savoie, his brothers; Ralph Thériault (Sandra) and Gérald Thériault, and his sisters; Patricia Thibeault, Dale Thériault, and Carole Thériault. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son Raphaël Thériault and his brothers and sisters: Carl Thériault, Clarence Thériault, Edmond Thériault, Rodrigue Leblanc, and Marlene Thériault.

The funeral will be held at Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur Church, Val d'Amour, on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 3:00 p.m.

At Mr. Thériault's request, there will be no visitation at the funeral home.
