Rita Poirier

Friday, June 12th, 2015, at the Campbellton Village Nursing Home, at the age of 91, passed away Mrs. Rita Poirier, wife of the late John Poirier.  She was the daughter of the late Alice (Poirier) and the late Olivier Mazerolle.

She will be sadly missed by her children: Jeannine (Jacques Doiron), Murielle (Maurice Power), Jean-Guy (Monique LeBlanc), Claudia (Blake Jennings), Doris (Keith Adams), Ginette (Michel Soucy), Omer (Ann McGaghey), Yves (Michelle Ackerson); her grandchildren : Éric, Céline & André Doiron;  Kevin, Brian & Nadine Power;  Rémi Poirier; Tanya & Korey Jennings; Kimberly & Scott Adams;  Mario, Nicole & Jean-François Soucy; Danika, Ricky & Patrik Poirier; Daniel Ackerson & Justin LeBlanc; her 12 great-grandchildren also her brothers & sisters : Cécile (late Donat Thibodeau), John (Pierrette Bergeron), Alphonsina (late Anthonin Valenta), Aldora, Annette (Jules Brouillette), Irma (late Colborne Firth), Ernest (Lisette Mercier), Claudia (Elvy Robichaud) also by many nieces, nephews and friends.   

She was predeceased by her husband John, her parents and her brothers & sisters: Alda, Sophie, Omer, Aldéric, Wilfred, Frédéric, Géraldine, Guy & Donald.

The funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, June 17th, 2015 at 11 am in the Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Atholville.  Visitations will be held at Savoie Funeral Home, Campbellton on Monday evening from 7-9, Tuesday afternoon from 2-4 and evening 7-9, also on Wednesday morning from 9:30 till time of funeral.   

A donation to the ‘La Solitude de Pré-d’en-Haut’, ‘Relay for Life’ or the ‘Tree of Hope Foundation’ would be greatly appreciated by the family.
