With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Anthony "Tony" Canuto Fernandez, who left us unexpectedly on August 2, 2024, just days before his 56th birthday. Tony was a beloved resident of West Hills, California, and his absence leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
Tony was born in Mesa, Arizona on August 18, 1968, to Richard Chavez Fernandez and Cruz Herrera Fernandez. Though his father passed away previously, Tony's memory and legacy will continue through his devoted mother, Cruz. Tony was a loving husband to Danielle Mailhoit Fernandez, and their bond was a source of immense joy and strength for both of them.
He was the loving brother to Mark (Grace) Fernandez, Rick Fernandez (Henry Miller), Rod (Gail) Fernandez, Dario Dodge(Lisa) Fernandez, Gabe (Tammy) Fernandez, Conrade (Christina) Fernandez, and Michel (Nichole) Fernandez along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Tony's sudden departure left a profound sense of loss among his family and friends. He was known for his deep love for dogs, sports and his unwavering support of the Dodgers and Steelers. His energy, kindness, and passion touched many lives, and he will be remembered for his vibrant spirit and generous heart.
A celebration of life will be held to honor Tony's life and the indelible mark he left on those around him on September 7, 2024 1PM to 3PM at Pickwick’s Pub in Woodlands Hills, California. Additional service will be in Arizona at a later date.
