Joseph was known for his generous heart, easy smile, and unwavering devotion to the people he loved. Family was his proudest achievement, and he took great joy in the life he built. Over the years, his journey led him to many chapters, but he ultimately found the love of his life in his wife, Melody Alegría.
Joseph was a devoted father to six children, three by birth and three by love. He took immense pride in each of them and their accomplishments. Nothing brought him more happiness than time spent together as a family, especially when it involved laughter, shared stories, or watching his grandchildren light up a room. He adored his grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to brag about them.
A lifelong sports fan, Joseph enjoyed cheering on the Angels and the Packers, happily talking sports with anyone who would listen. His family especially enjoyed the playful rivalries that came with being an Angels fan, which he embraced with good humor and enthusiasm.
Joseph’s warmth, sense of humor, and the loving family he created will remain his greatest legacy.
He is survived by his wife, Melody Alegría; his sisters, Margaret, Estelle, and Jana; his children, Laura, Dawn, Paul, Mike, Peter, and Lynda; and his grandchildren, Nathan, Natalie, Ramsey, Anna, Matthew, Brooke, Giuliana, and Jameson.
Service and memorial details will be shared by the family when available. The Alegría family is grateful for the kindness, love, and support shown during this time.
