Amy Ruth (Fader) Brooks

Daughter of the late Natalie (Kabler) (Fader) Waterman and Milton Fader. Loving wife of Richard Brooks of 42 years. Beloved mother of Matthew and Alexander Brooks. Sister of Bruce Fader. Beloved Aunt to sixteen nieces and nephews

Amy was born in Boston, MA. She grew up in Newton and graduated from Newton South High School class of 1974. From there Amy went on to the University of Hartford where she earned her bachelor's degree and graduated class of 1978. She owned and ran a successful dry cleaning business, Prime Cleaners in West Roxbury for over 40 years. Amy was an excellent cook for her friends and family. She stood up fiercely for what she believed in and did not back down. She had an awesome sense of adventure and “wunderlust” as she put it, which was passed on to both her sons. She loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor, but the most important thing in Amy’s life was her love for her family and will be missed by all.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service on Monday May 22, 2023 at 11:45AM at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham St. Sharon, MA.

Shiva will be held after the service on Monday at her home. All are welcome.
