Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ida (Magazine) Lapido. Ann was preceded in death by her first husband, Barry Silver, and her two brothers, Gerald Lapido and Leonard Lapido.
In addition to her husband, Dick, those left behind to treasure Ann’s memory include her devoted daughters: Lisa Koker and her husband Anton, and Helen Berkowitz; her cherished grandchildren: Jonathan, Michael, Max, Amanda, and Sarah; her great-grandchildren, Beckett, Brielle, and Henry; and several close friends who were like family to her.
She was a woman of fierce strength, independence, and deep devotion to her family. A trailblazer in her time, she began her career as a real estate broker before building her own mortgage company, achieving success in a field largely dominated by men.
She loved her cigarettes and her iced coffee with hazelnut syrup, and she often reminded those around her that “better days are coming.” She always took pride in her appearance—her hair and makeup always impeccably done, her nails always polished—and she carried herself with confidence and style.
Her strength, love, and unmistakable presence will always be remembered.
Funeral Services for Ann will take place at 1:00 PM on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton. Burial will immediately follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon.
Shiva will be held at her late residence following burial until 8 PM.
