COWAN, Dorothy F. (Rosen) Age 92, of Randolph, MA, passed away peacefully at home on January 12, 2018. Born in Malden, MA, Dorothy was a longtime resident of Milton, before moving to Foxboro and then, finally, the Simon C. Fireman Community in Randolph. Loving wife, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother and, a role that brought her much happiness in the last few years of her life, a great-grandmother to three great-grandsons. Dorothy also took immense joy in her friendships - some spanning decades. She will always be fondly remembered for her prowess in the kitchen, especially her scrumptious desserts. She is predeceased by the love of her life and husband of 60 years, Melvin; as well as two brothers and a sister. Services will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 2pm at the Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton, MA. Interment at Sharon Memorial Park, Sharon, MA, followed by a memorial observance at the home of Doug and Donna Cowan. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Congregation Beth Trilling c/o Simon C. Fireman Community, 640 North Main Street, Randolph, MA 02368.
