Elaine (Mishara) Shriber of Sharon, MA passed away peacefully on Monday, June 24, 2024 at 98 years of age. Daughter of the late Bess (Korenblitt) and Harry Mishara. Loving wife of the late Bernard Shriber. Beloved mother of Janet Shriber of Canton, MA; Ruth Shriber of Lakeport, CA; and Donald Shriber and his wife Rose Marie Martinez of Silver Spring, MD. She is survived by her beloved sister, Phyllis and brother-in-law Martin Vogel of Boston, MA. She was sister to the late Jordan Mishara and Diana Krisses. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their children on both sides of the family.
Elaine was born in Boston, MA on August 24, 1925, grew up in Mattapan, and attended Boston Public Schools and Radcliffe College. She lived in Sharon from 1954 until her death and taught in the public schools there for more than twenty years.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024 at 9 AM at the Chapel at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon. The service will also be available by livestream at www.harborview.live/shriber . Shiva will immediately follow the burial.
