Gail Beth Tockman

Gail Beth Tockman passed away unexpectedly on October 6th 2021 in Stoughton, Massachusetts.

Gail grew up in Sharon Massachusetts. A caring daughter, sister, aunt and friend, Gail put family first always, and her infectious smile and zest for life will remain in their hearts forever.

She is survived by her mother Lois Gibley and stepfather Harry, and siblings Neil and Jennifer Tockman and Lee and Lesley Tockman. She was also a devoted aunt to her niece Hannah and nephews Hunter, Aiden, Alex and Dylan, and she cherished her relationships with aunts and uncles Beverly and Larry Koplan, Michelle and Steve Pine, Marcene and Steve Tockman, and her many cousins. She will be put to rest next to her father Ronald Tockman.

Gail’s long-term boyfriend Tim Shea and his son Caleb (11) became family too. She raised Caleb as if he were her own son, cheering him on at sporting events, helping him in school and being there for every part of his life.

Gail loved being a Registered Nurse. She was passionate about what she did, cared deeply for all the patients she attended to, and truly loved helping others. Most recently, she was a doting daughter who stood by her father’s side, supporting him unconditionally during his long-term illness, and coordinating all of his hospital care.

Gail’s vibrant spirit, bubbly personality and loving heart drew people to her, and she will be missed by countless friends and family.

In lieu of flowers a 529 College Savings Plan will be established to help Caleb in the future. Please make donations to the go-fund-me account at https://gofund.me/26cf3057.

Family and friends are welcome at Lois Gibley’s home through Wednesday, October 13th.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 11th at 11:00 am at Knollwood Memorial Park, 319 High Street, Canton, MA 02021. Please join the family immediately following the graveside services for a light lunch at the Four Points by Sheraton, 1125 Boston Providence Turnpike, Norwood.

Gail was her daddy's little girl. I remember just how Ronn's face lit up whenever he spoke of her. I remember how much she cared about her grandmother and just how giving she was, always putting others first. Lois, Lee and Neil. I am so truly sorry for your lost. I know that Gail made her mark on the world and she will never be forgotten. I hope that all of the wonderful memories you have of Gail will be a light to guide you through these times of such deep sorrow.

I have so many amazing memories with Gail. We worked many shifts together at Pleasant View in Concord, NH. We had countless laughs and lots of fun during 2nd shift. She will be missed.

With great sadness I am writing this. For me Gail was one of the kids. The girls laugh together, cried together, listened to music, talked about boys, did sleep overs and told their very special secrets to each other.

Gail had a sparkly smile and was full of life. The girlfriends had a forever bond & continued their friendship as they grew older.

A fond memory was when the girls planned to go to a concert but no one was old enough to drive. Gail & Val came up with a plan! They would use my car and have Gail's brother Lee drive. After Gail's mother and I had a discussion & approval off they went a car full of teenagers.

Years later Gail posted on her Facebook page the tickets from that very concert she had saved from that special night.

Gail's footprint of her life will be everlasting for her family, loved ones, friends and all the people she touched because of her special, unique way. Gail was a loving person and longtime friend and will remain in our hearts never forgotten.

No words can be expressed except she left us all too soon.

Gail was a wonderful friend who lit up rooms and brightened the days of those around her. She made us laugh and cry at the same time. I remember her packing all us girls in her white Honda and 100 mph we went to the club north of Boston. She could turn a 45 minute ride into 20 minutes. Gail you left us too soon and you will be missed. Love “Bushy” :)

Since the moment I met Gail in biology class we’ve been friends. She was new to town from Sharon. Her outgoing bubbly personality was too much to say no to. I have so many memories of Gail from Drivers Ed Class, Prom, High School Graduation, College, Weddings and nicknames that you just couldn’t shake.
Gail was one of my closest friends and was always the first person that would be there if you called. I will miss you dearly Chickenhead! Love Squish ❤️

Gail, beautiful inside and out. She was a wonderful mom to my grandson, Caleb, and a cherished partner in life to my son, Tim. Our family adored Gail and will forever miss her smile, her great sense of humor, her kindness and zest for life.
