

He was raised in Boston, MA where he excelled as a student, graduating with honors from Boston English High School class of 1947, and Northeastern University School of Business Administration in 1952.
Gerald met his future wife, Carol Bergman, in 1950, they were married in Boston on August 23, 1953.
He had a successful business career as the owner of Richmond Hardware in Braintree. He was active in the community serving as a Director of the Bank of Braintree, President of South Braintree Board of Trade, Building Committee Chair of Temple B’Nai Shalom, and Treasurer of the Foundation Fighting Blindness.
Gerald is survived by his beloved wife Carol, to whom he was devoted for 68 years. He is also survived by his three children: Kenneth Richmond, Lori Richmond-Graves, and Steven Richmond; and his five grandchildren: Esther Magner, Alex Graves, Matthew Richmond, Taylor Graves, and Alyssa Richmond.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 30th at 11:00 AM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton followed by burial at Sharon Memorial Park.
