Harold Simon

Harold A. Simon, longtime resident of Sharon, MA. Harold was born on November 15, 1927 first son of Leo & Minnie Simon. Entered into rest April 27, 2014 at the age of 86.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 64 years, Jeannine F. (Sollogub) Simon.

Loving father of Joanne and her husband Joseph Kestnbaum, Bradley and his wife Sandi, David and his wife Debra, Susan and her husband Richard Simons.

Cherished grandfather of Mark Kestnbaum and his wife Danielle; Alexander and Jenny; Gregory and Douglas Simon & great grandfather of Holden and Ryan Kestnbaum.

Loving brother of Arthur (Sandra), Nathaniel (Saundra) and Saul (Zelda).

Loving uncle to 9 nieces & nephews.

A graduate of English High School & Boston University. He served in the Navy. Although the Navy wanted him to go on to matriculate at the Naval Academy at Annapolis, his dream was to come home and grow his father’s business, Simon & Sons. He along with his younger brothers, transformed the cleaning and tailoring business into a men’s and women’s clothing chain of seven stores in and around Boston.

Services will be held at the Temple Israel of Sharon, 125 Pond Street, Sharon, MA on Tuesday April 29, 2014 at 1:30 PM. Interment Sharon Memorial Park.

Shiva will be held at his late residence following the interment until 9:00 PM, Wednesday & Thursday from 1:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM, Friday from 1:00-4:00 PM, Saturday evening, Sunday & Monday from 1:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 PM.
