Born in Boston, Harvey was the only child of the late David and Mary (Spellman) Sherer. He served in the Army during WWII.
Beloved husband of Helen (Ring) Sherer, with whom he shared 72 years of marriage. Devoted father of Steven Sherer and his wife Shirley, and Rhonda Kaplan and her husband Ken. Cherished grandfather of David Sherer, Faye Stillman, Rachel Emsley, Amy Argubright, and David and Howard Kaplan. Loving great-grandfather of Topazio, Lincoln, Gracen, Aidan, Hannah, Jade, Sebastian, Sienna, Tory, Charlie, Elanna, Hyla, and Kinsey.
Harvey was a quiet, gentle, kind, and intelligent man who loved to read. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Graveside services will be held on September 10 at 12:45 PM at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon, MA.
