He was born in Dorchester in 1926 to Hyman and Esther Issner. Beloved husband for 60 years to the late Dorothy (Fistel) Issner. Devoted father of Michael Issner, Faye Issner, Eric Issner and his wife Ann, and Avery Issner. Loving brother of Allan Issner and his late wife Carolyn. Cherished grandfather of Adam H. Goodman and Andrew Issner.
Funeral services on Thursday, February 10 at 12:30 PM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton. Interment at Agudath Israel Cemetery in West Roxbury.
A celebration of Herbert’s life will take place in Nantasket Beach this summer.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.
