Irving Joel Snyder

Son of the late Jeanne (Winitzer) and John Snyder. Loving husband of Rosalyn (Rosen) Snyder. Beloved father of Carol M. Lyon and her late husband Tom Lyon of Foxborough, and Larry Snyder and his wife Ellen of Sharon. Cherished grandfather of Sari and Scott Lyon and Jayme Snyder, Lindsey Adler and Erica and husband Matt Kowalski. Great grandfather of Mason and Miles Kowalski. Brother of Sandra Cooperstein, the late Paul Snyder and sister in law Sandra Snyder. He was beloved by many friends and relatives allover, as well as many admirers.

Irving was born in Boston on August 26, 1930. He was a very successful John Hancock sales agent. He started as a debit salesman, and ultimately became general agent with a CLU degree. He grew up in Roxbury and served in the US Navy for 4 years. He married his teen dancing partner Rosalyn Rosen and they were married for 72 years. He was an avid sports fan, racquetball player, and golfer. He was a special person who affected all those who knew him, having mentored many from his business days and he inspired all those around him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Wednesday, October 25th at 10 am at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon.

After the service, all are welcome at Larry and Ellen’s home in Sharon and continuing on Thursday from 4-8pm.
