

Jerome “Jerry” Stanley Freeman of Weymouth and Delray Beach, FL, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 91 years of age. Son of the late Ida (Green) and Perry Freeman. Loving and devoted husband of the late Anita (Nitishin) Freeman. Beloved father of Charles Freeman and daughters Robin (Freeman) Bergeron and Susan Freeman of Weymouth. Cherished grandfather of Erika, Jonathan, Danielle Freeman and Rachel Bergeron. Great-grandfather of Yaeva, Avi and Tali Sauer. Jerry was predeceased by his brothers Donald, Phillip, Marvin Freeman and sister Marilyn Gordon.
Jerry was born in Chelsea on December 15, 1933 and spent many years in Everett, MA. He raised his family in Braintree and spent time in Delray Beach over the past 20 years.
Jerry, Anita and their family were long-time members of Temple B’Nai Shalom in Braintree. He was the founder and former owner of Chair Fair in Weymouth Landing with locations across the South Shore. Jerry was active in the Weymouth Landing Business Association and proudly participated in the development of Pond Meadow Park.
Jerry was a member of the National Guard for six years as a Tank Commander while serving his country. He was an accomplished racquetball player, skier and an avid lover of music. Jerry cherished his family time and will be remembered for always helping those less fortunate. In recent days he reminded everyone that “Family Life is the Best”.
There will be a graveside service and burial at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon on Tuesday, June 24th at 9:45 AM.
