Lorraine M. Evans

Lorraine M. Evans (Weinreb) of Norwood, formerly of Framingham, MA, entered into rest on December 2, 2021 at the age of 83. Born on July 19, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY she was the daughter of the late Sylvan & Kate Weinreb (Horowitz).

Lorraine grew up in Brooklyn and graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School. After high school she enrolled at Brooklyn College where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree. Lorraine worked for Lechmere for many years, and later for Research Biochemicals International where she eventually retired from. She was a former president and very active member of B’nai Brith. In her spare time she enjoyed making bead jewelry and playing Mahjong. She cherished many summers with family camping at Pine Knoll Campground in Conway, NH.

Beloved wife of the late Donald T. Evans, who she shared 64 years of marriage with. Loving mother of Dr. Jacqueline Evans and Allison Prior. Cherished grandmother of Conor, Lily, Aidan, Graham, and Cooper. Loving sister of Norma Bronstein and her husband Alan. Dear aunt of Gabrielle Bronstein and Dr. Matthew Bronstein.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 5th at 1PM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton, MA, followed by burial at Sharon Memorial Park.
