EPSTEIN, Dr. Paul Martin, of East Falmouth, MA. Entered into rest on December 9, 2017 at the age of 70, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Everyone, including his patients, knew him to be an extraordinarily intelligent humanitarian. His unending search for knowledge and ways to help others, led him from New York to Africa, DC to Boston, to the Cape in retirement. His decency, intellect and personability shone through. He loved history, politics, music, card games, the Red Sox, and Scrabble. In his 20’s, he volunteered at a camp for kids with disabilities and maintained contact with them throughout their lives. As a psychiatrist, his passion was treating patients. When he saw a need for the hospital to have a functioning department, he stepped up and became its Chief of Psychiatry. He and his wife, Sue, retired to the Cape where they made a welcoming home, often filled with friends, and most importantly, their children and grandchildren. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sue Rosen. He was also the devoted father of Laura Zannella & her husband Chris, Peter Epstein & his wife Mo, and Matthew Epstein & Molly Dower.
