

Peter Michael Jaffe passed away on March 27, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 20, 1940, in Beverly to the late Herman Jaffe and Elsie S. Jaffe. He was preceded in death by his brother Richard M. Jaffe.
Peter was a graduate of Colby College, and he had a long career in the corrugated container industry. He loved his work until his last day, never taking a moment for retirement.
He was a confirmed bachelor until the age of 60 when he married the love of his life, Shirley (Namenson) Jaffe, and instantly became a loving and devoted husband, father and Zadie to his new family.
Peter was loved and respected by anyone who knew him. He filled every heart with his optimism, sense of humor, and generosity. It was impossible not to smile with joy in Peter's presence. His love for his friends and family was immeasurable. He kept lasting friendships throughout his life. His charisma shined brilliantly on every occasion. His resilience for all challenges was unyielding.
Peter loved watching his Boston sports teams. He relaxed on the golf course and was famous in his own right for his musical talents on the piano and his rendition of songs by the Coasters and other musical groups.
Peter is survived by his loving wife Shirley along with his nieces and nephew; Amy and Al Zuckerman of North Carolina; Edward, Michelle and Tennessee Kurtzman of San Francisco; Karen Heath of North Carolina. His brother and sister-in-law; Lew and Marjorie Kurtzman of North Carolina.
His children: Edward and Susan Namenson of Easton along with his grandchildren Rachel and Corey Venable of Charlestown; Michelle and Billy Podolski of Franklin and his great grandchildren Madison and Olivia; Robyn and Scott Bamford of Easton along with his grandchildren Alex; Max of Waltham; Samantha and Liam Patterson of Minnesota; Traci and Marc Weisman of Easton along with his grandchildren Matty; Amanda and Evan Moitoza of Texas; Bruce and Mindy Namenson of Walpole along with his grandchildren Noble; Zach Schippani of New York; Hannah and John Martinuk of Vermont and his great grandchildren Lore and Briar.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 12th at 11 AM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton. Burial will immediately follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon. Following burial, the family will hold a celebration of Peter's life at Chinatown Restaurant 103 Sharon Street, Stoughton.
In Peter's honor, please dress casually, be comfortable and do not wear a tie as that's the way he would want it.
