

Ruth (Lebovitz) L. Goldberg of Taunton, MA, previously of Easton, MA and Tyler, TX, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at 85 years of age. Daughter of the late Dora and Joseph Lebovitz. Loving wife of the late Alan Goldberg of 34 years before his passing. Beloved mother of Joan Barbosa and her husband Tony of Taunton, MA; and Robert Donovan and his wife Nadia of Cypress, TX. Loving stepmother of Caleb Goldberg and his wife Amy of Texas. Cherished grandmother of Stephanie, Kristy, Alyssa, Alycia, Kimberly, Stefan and Nick. Great-grandmother of Ava, Maxwell, Makenna, Wyatt, Colton, Isabelle, Liam and Noah. Sister of the late Saul Lebovitz.
Ruth was born in Boston, MA on March 15, 1940, and was a woman who found joy in life’s simple pleasures and in the people she loved the most. Travel held a special place in her heart, and she cherished the time she spent traveling across the country with her beloved late husband, Alan. She especially enjoyed spending time with her close friends, playing mahjong and canasta, attending bus trips, shopping trips and book club. Ruth expressed her creativity through crafting, knitting, and caning, taking pride in making things by hand and sharing them with others. Above all, Ruth treasured spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as her nieces Lorna, Sherry and Pam.
Ruth will be remembered for her kindness, her creativity, her vibrant social spirit, and the joy she brought into the lives of others. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 10 AM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton. Burial will follow at Independent Workmen’s Circle Cemetery, 776 Baker Street, W, Roxbury, MA.
