

Ruth (Roseman) Jacobs, of Milford formerly of Sharon, MA, entered into rest on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the age of 91. She was the beloved wife of the late Sidney B. Jacobs who passed away in 2014.
Born on February 28, 1927 in Cambridge, MA, she was the daughter of the late Israel and Celia (Blank) Roseman. Ruth grew up in Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge Latin High School with the class of 1945.
Before her retirement, Mrs. Jacobs held a variety of jobs. She worked in retail at Macy’s and was elected as the union shop steward, and also worked as a waitress at Bickford’s Restaurant. In her spare time, she liked to make stuffed animals, dolls and pillows and would sell them at local flea markets with her husband.
Ruth was a very generous person, always helping those in need. She was a big supporter of Veterans and always donated to various veteran charities.
She is survived by her devoted children, Steven Mark Jacobs and his wife Leslie, Ellen Ball and her husband Lenny, Keith Jacobs and his wife Marci, Douglas Jacobs and his wife Debbie, and the late Carol Ann Perry. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Evan, Logan, Anthony, Jason and his fiancé Angelina, Seth and his wife Diane, Jaclyn and her husband Gabe, Adam, Greg, and Lindsay, and her great-grandchildren Benjamin, Abby, Kristlynn, Isaac, Jaxson, and Elijah. She was the sister of the late Melvin, Mickey, Gerdy , Frances, Sammy, Sally, Jake, Ruby, Sauly, and Mooney.
Funeral services will be held at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton, MA on Sunday, November 25th at 12 Noon, followed by interment at Sharon Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to Disabled American Veterans, State House, Room 546, Boston, MA 02133.
