

Sheila was the beloved wife of Israel Livingstone to whom she was married and shared her life for nearly 65 of her 92 years. She was the loving mother of Seth Gordon Livingstone and his wife Marcy of Port St. Lucie, FL; Joyce Alison Ford and her husband David of Westwood; and Edward Louis Livingstone and his partner Janine Rizzo of Bridgewater.
Sheila adored her grandchildren Amanda Towerman and her husband Matt Towerman, Andrew Livingstone, and Daniel Ford and her great grandchildren, Ella and Easton Towerman. She was the loving sister of Ida Reinherz, Anne “Honey” Miller, and Milton Adleman, each of whom preceded her in death.
The daughter of Edward and Fannie Adleman, Sheila was born in Boston and a proud product of the city’s West End. She was a graduate of Girls High School in Boston and worked as a bookkeeper for the Boston and Taunton Transportation Company prior to her marriage to Izzy in 1955. They lived briefly in Framingham and Dorchester before moving to Stoughton in 1960. Sheila spent her final eight years as a resident of Heights Crossing in Brockton.
Sheila will be fondly remembered by her many nephews and nieces for her cooking and creative cake decorating skills and also as the force behind the scenes for nearly six decades in the family auto salvage business in Stoughton. A longtime member of Ahavath Torah Congregation, Sheila will be remembered most of all for her devotion to family and friends and an insistence on education.She instilled those around her with a sense of humor, an appreciation of the arts, admiration of athletic achievement, and the importance of treating those from all walks of life with love, respect, and fairness.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 1 PM at the Sharon Memorial Park Chapel, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon.
