He was born June 18, 1954 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Robert and P. Elaine (Wigle) Long. Ben was a graduate of Jackson High School, Class of 1972, and earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Bowling Green University in 1976. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1994, and was a member of VFW Post #3301 in Carrollton.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Cheryl Long; son, Eric Morris; granddaughter, Ember I. Morris; sisters, Laura Sibila of Canton, and Corrine Schwaner of Brunswick; and brother, Ron Long of Canton.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 6-8pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
