David was born December 13, 1969 in Martins Ferry, OH to the late Margaret (Collignon) and Robert Travis. He retired from the US Navy after 27 years service. David enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Penguins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Brian and Jeffrey Travis. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Tricia (Burgess) Travis; daughter, Ashley; sons, Christopher and Benjamin; grandson, Kieran; sister, Bethann (Brian) Mueller; brothers, Bob (Kim), and Bill (Regena); and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A visitation for David will be held Sunday, July 30, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home, 5000 Everhard Rd NW, Canton, Ohio 44718. A celebration of life will occur Monday, July 31, 2023 at 11:00 AM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor's local ALS Foundation.
