Deborah Lynn Ackroyd, age 63, of North Canton, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023. Debbie was born in Greensburg, Pennsylvania to the late Gene and Olive (Frantz) Hormell. She was a graduate of GlenOak High School; Class of 1978.
Debbie was a hard worker in all of the various positions of her life and possessed an immense capacity for kindness and compassion. She loved dancing to the music of the band Chicago and attending their concerts. One of the things she enjoyed most was playing games with her family, especially Yahtzee. Regardless of the challenges she faced, she consistently maintained her unwavering faith.
Along with her parents, Debbie is preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Hormell.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Alicia (Robert) Smith and grandson, Maddox Smith.
Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially being a grandma.
