Dixie was born on February 23, 1936 in Mischawaka, IN to the late Marvin Oliver and Millicent (Hall) Kelley. She graduated from Purdue University in January 1959 with a BS in Home Economics. She had been married to her husband, Arnold, for 62 years. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church where she served with caring and sewing ministries. Dixie dedicated her life to being a homemaker, at which she excelled. She was a teacher, a nurse, a therapist, and a guide. She will be greatly remembered by the many who knew her and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, her sister, three children, eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Calling hours for Dixie will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in North Canton on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 10-11 am. Funeral services will begin at the church at 11 am with burial to follow at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to Lutheran Hour Ministries at 660 Mason Ridge Center Dr., St. Louis, MO 63141-8557.
