Evelyn J Bracken

Evelyn J. Bracken, age 88, was called home by the Lord on December 7, 2025.

Evelyn was born on February 4, 1937, in Maynard, Ohio to the late John and Geneva Shafer. In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband John "Jack" Bracken and two brothers. Evelyn married John, the love of her life on August 29, 1953, and remained married for the next 71years. She spent her life as a devoted homemaker, loving wife, mother to four children Jackie (Mike) Firth, Jon (Melonie) Bracken, Joni (Chuck Howard) Reik, Jennifer (Bob) Smer, amazing grandmother to five grandchildren Michael (Annette) Firth, Nicole (Chris) Schrader, Eric Smer, Jon Bracken Jr., Heather Smer, and five great- grandchildren Addison and Ashtyn Schrader, Derek, Katelyn and Tyler Firth which she spoiled rotten.

Evelyn loved her family more than anything. She also enjoyed cooking, collecting dolls, watching Cleveland sports, attending concerts, and listening to music. She has made great memories with so many individuals that will be treasured for many years to come.

She will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville. No funeral services at this time.
