She was born in Pennsylvania on August 29,1939 and relocated to Massillon/Canton area where she met and married Thomas P. Soehnlen on October 11, 1958. Florence was dedicated to her family, friends and her faith in God. She had a floral business to share her love for flowers and enjoyed bowling, golfing while supporting her faith and charity work with St. Paul’s in North Canton.
She is survived by her four children: Susan Soehnlen, Michael Soehnlen, Thomas J. and Rachel Soehnlen, and Stephen Soehnlen; brothers and sisters-in-law: Mary Ann Soehnlen, Barbara Soehnlen, Dan and Joyce Soehnlen, Julie Noggle, and Phillip and Debbie Soehnlen.
Florence is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas P. Soehnlen, her parents, Joseph and Mary Chengery, daughter, Pamela Soehnlen, son, Matthew Soehnlen, and brother, Frank Chengery, and brother-in-law, Robert Soehnlen.
Calling hours for Florence will be held at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 10:00 am with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
