Glenn LeRoy Stallings

Glenn LeRoy Stallings, 79, of North Canton, Ohio, returned to the loving arms of his Father in Heaven on the evening of January 28, 2026. He had been residing in North Canton with the family of his daughter, Mary Beth, and also with his son, Johnathan.

Glenn was born in Lewiston, Idaho, on November 9, 1946, the son of Lucille and Richard LeRoy Woody. Lucille and Richard later divorced and she married Letcher Ray Stallings, who adopted and raised Glenn as his own. Glenn absolutely loved him as his father. During his senior year of high school, his family relocated to Bossier City, Louisiana, due to his father's transfer to Barksdale Air Force Base, where he remained for the majority of his adult life. Following high school, he volunteered to serve a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the New England States and parts of Canada Mission. While serving in New Brunswick, Canada, he met his future wife, Lorna Cosman. He often recalled that he "knew immediately upon seeing her in the church chapel that she was the lady he was going to marry."

Glenn and Lorna were married on August 22, 1968, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, where they were sealed for time and all eternity. They returned to the Shreveport/Bossier area of Louisiana and built their life together, raising four children: Johnathan Ray of North Canton, Ohio; Mary Beth (Eric) Niemeyer of North Canton, Ohio; Tina Marie (Darren) Downey of Hampton, New Brunswick, Canada; and David Glenn (Angela) of Herriman, Utah.

Always an entrepreneur, Glenn owned many businesses throughout his life. Glenn tried to live his life as a true disciple of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and especially loved serving and giving to others, almost to a fault. Glenn volunteered in various capacities within the church, particularly cherishing his opportunities to work in the Boy Scouts of America program. He was a devoted support to his children, attending countless band concerts, choir concerts, sporting events, and school activities, and even helped all four children establish a bowling team called the Stallings Stars.

At the time of his passing, Glenn was the proud grandfather of fifteen grandchildren: Gavin, Talin, Ammon, Marliebeth, Dillon, BriEllen, Andrew, Caroline, Brooke, Kaylia, Tanner, Hunter, Hallie, Easton, and Colton, and the great-grandfather of four great-grandchildren: Afton, Everly, Cooper, and Crew.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Lorna. He is survived by his brother, Ray (Sylvia) Stallings of Aberdeen, Washington, and all of his and Lorna’s children and their families.

Per Glenn's wishes, there will be no funeral service. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
