Harriett Rae Harter

She was born January 9, 1930 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Robert B., and Leone (Freeman) Landis, Sr.

Harriett was a graduate of Timken Mercy Practical Nursing School, and worked at Aultman Hospital for 28 years, retiring in December 1994. She loved taking care of heart patients. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, North Canton, and was a believer in God and prayer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don L. Harter; and brother, Robert B. Landis, Jr. She is survived by her children, Michelle Poole (and Paul Duckwall), of Tallmadge, and Kevin D. (Brooke) Harter, of Jackson, Township; 3 grandchildren, Erica Harter, Dakota Harter, and Alexandra Poole; two sisters, Kenyon (Jim) Mickley, and Nora Santangelo; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Wilma Harter, Marilyn Harter, and Bob and Shirley Harter; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Friday in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home with Rev. Don Richards officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call 6-8pm Thursday at the funeral home.
