James "Jim" Francis Schirra

Jim was born in Akron, Ohio on September 11, 1962 to Mary (Henry) and the late John B. Schirra. He was a graduate of Stow High School, Class of 1980. Jim was employed as an operator at Rich Products Corporation in Hilliard. He attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Columbus where he enjoyed listening to his wife, Kathy, sing with the chancel choir. Jim loved his family, his pets, and all things fishing. He was known for his goofy sense of humor, signature laugh, and generous nature.

In addition to his father, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, John P. Schirra. He is survived by his beloved wife of of 36 years, Kathy; daughters, Katelyn (Julio) Juarez, and Jamie (Sam Shutt) Schirra; grandsons, Jaxxon and Jameson Juarez; brothers, Jeff (Donna) Schirra, Joe Schirra, and Jerry (Penny) Schirra; sister, Judy (John) O'Neil; sister-in-law, Susan Schirra; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

A visitation for Jim will be held Sunday, March 26, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home, 5000 Everhard Rd NW, Canton, Ohio 44718. A private funeral service will be held Monday. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity or place of worship in Jim's name.
