Jane Cochrun Wells

Jane was born in Spencerville on May 2, 1922 to the late Paul and Laura (McClure) Cochrun. She graduated with a Bachelors from Ohio University. In 1945, she married William Wells. They celebrated 61 years of marriage together before he preceded her in death in 2006. Jane was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in North Canton for many years. She was also a member of the Women’s Board of Aultman Hospital, Brookside Country Club and PEO.

Jane is survived by two children, Kim Nicely and John Wells, one son-in-law, Douglas Mills, six grandchildren: Geoffrey (Shawn Marie) Nicely, Suzanne Nicely, Melissa (Mark) Panagopoulos, Megan (Joshua) Lee, Ian Wells, and Lily Wells; and six great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husband, Jane is preceded in death by her brother, John Cochrun, and daughter, Pamela Mills.

Per her family’s wishes, Jane will be cremated and a private family celebration will be held at a later date.

The family would like to say “Thank you” to Jane’s special friend, Deborah Taflan, for her care in the last few years and to Canton Christian Home for the outstanding care that they provided Jane as well.
