Louis Anthony Artale

Lou was born in the Bronx, NY on January 1, 1934 to the late Leoluca and Anna (Ligio) Artale. He grew up in the Bronx and was a 1952 graduate of James Monroe High School. In 1953, Lou enlisted in the United Stated Army and served his country honorably until 1955. In 1956, he married Helen Rossetti and enjoyed 60 years of marriage with her before she preceded him in death in December of 2016. Lou was very dedicated to his work and loved his dogs. He was also a great grandpa to his seven grandkids.

Along with his parents and wife, Lou is preceded in death by 13 siblings and one son-in-law, Joe Barbato.

Lou is survived by his three children: Lou Artale, Jr., Jean Barbato, and Lisa (Michael) Skelly; seven grandchildren: Dominic, Adam, Angeline, Joseph, Matt (Ashley), Ryan, and Sabrina; and one great-grandchild, Olivia.

Per Lou’s wishes, a cremation will take place and he will be laid to rest at Sunset Hills Burial Park. For those who wish, memorial donations can be made to the Humane Society of Stark County at http://www.starkhumane.org/Donate.
