Mrs. Snyder was born and lived most of her life in the Akron area. She retired after teaching 20 years in Akron and Coventry Schools.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin H. Snyder; and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children, Sandra (Kenneth) Youngblood, Karen (John) Weletyk, and Dale Irvin Snyder; stepchildren, Carole (Gary) Bantum, and David E. (Robin) Snyder; 6 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no calling hours. Private graveside services at Mt. Hope Cemetery with Rev. Bob Youngblood officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lucille Snyder’s memory to Green YMCA Arthritis Water Class, 3800 Massillon Road, Uniontown, OH 44685. She was a member for almost three years and swam three times a week until she came down with the flu two weeks ago. Donations may also be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 157 W.
