

Marlene was a beautiful person with strong Christian beliefs.
Marlene grew up in the Canton area, attending Garfield, Harter, and Timken High School. She worked for Ohio Power, G.E. Credit, and The Hoover Company. She was affectionately known as “Betty Crocker” for she loved to bake. On many occasions, and at holidays, she would fill a plate with cookies for family, friends, and co-workers.
Marlene is a member of St. Stephen Martyr Lutheran Church, and a longtime member of the Girls’ Card Club. She is also a member of the Concorde Therapy Coffee Club, with her good friend, Minnie White.
She was married 60 years to devoted and loving husband, Donald A. Anderson. Marlene raised three lovely daughters, Lorraine (David) Bivin, Cheryl (Heath) Mosback, and Karen (Gary) Floyd. She was also blessed with five grandchildren, Jordan, Noah, and Josh Floyd, and Liam and Finley Mosback. She is also survived by her sister, Rita Stover; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Marlene was preceded in death by her sisters, Verna Burkhardt and Vivian Carnes; and her brothers, Richard, Dwayne, and James Thorley.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, December 29th at St. Stephen Martyr Lutheran Church, 4600 Fulton Dr. NW, Canton, with Rev. Dr. Bruce Roth officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8pm in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home, and from 10-11am on Friday, one hour before services at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stephen Martyr Lutheran Church.
