She was born February 28, 1928 in Atwater, Ohio to the late Lester and Beulah (Kreighbaum) Hartong. Mary was a graduate of Washington High School, Massillon. Mary enjoyed motorcycle riding and touring with her husband and was a Motor Maid in The American Motorcyclist Association. Mary and Ed were past members of The Canton Motorcycle Club. The family also enjoyed Lake Erie boating for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Kiddey in 1986; sister, Dorothy Crottinger; and brother, Richard Hartong. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bret and Laurel Kiddey, of Texas; daughter, Leona Vickery of Illinois; grandsons, Daryl and Travis Kiddey of Canton; granddaughter, Lori Heifner of Illinois; sister, Stella Glover of Dublin, OH; and brothers, Robert Hartong of Seville, OH, and Ronald Hartong of Portage Lake, OH.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00pm on Tuesday in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home, with Rev. Gary Smith officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens on Thursday at 1:00pm. Friends may call from 4:30-6:00pm on Tuesday in the funeral home.
